 I. Product Overview
Biological contact oxidation is a highly efficient treatment process primarily utilizing biofilm attached to carriers (commonly known as fillers) to purify organic wastewater. It has been widely applied in the treatment of textile printing and dyeing, wool spinning and knitting, beer and food production, petrochemical fertilizer wastewater, medical and domestic sewage, achieving significant environmental, social, and economic benefits. In recent years, with increasing water demand and widespread organic pollution of surface water sources such as rivers and lakes, the contact oxidation process has been adopted for treatment. For many years, this process has been widely used by design departments and highly regarded by users due to its unique advantages, including high efficiency and energy savings, small footprint, strong resistance to shock loads, and convenient operation and management.
 
Biofilm carrier—fillers are the core component of the contact oxidation process, directly affecting treatment efficiency, oxygen transfer performance, capital investment, operational cycle, and costs. The three-dimensional elastic filler and hybrid three-dimensional elastic filler produced by our factory have been proven through various conditions, extensive testing, and long-term operational results to be ideal carrier fillers. Due to their unique structural design and excellent material selection, these fillers offer long service life, excellent oxygen transfer performance, low power consumption, rapid biofilm formation, easy biofilm renewal, high resistance to shock loads, significant treatment effects, simple operation and management, no clogging, no clumping, and low cost. These fillers can be adjusted in terms of filament thickness, density, and assembly configuration to fully suit various anaerobic, anoxic, and aerobic treatment processes for different wastewater conditions. This filler is an innovation both domestically and internationally, with structural and performance characteristics at an advanced global level.

II. Structure and Features
The filler is made from selected high-quality polyolefin and polyamide materials that are corrosion-resistant, temperature-resistant, and aging-resistant, blended with hydrophilic, adsorptive, and anti-thermal-oxidative additives. Using special filament drawing and texturing processes, the filaments are fixed onto corrosion-resistant, high-strength central ropes. Due to excellent material selection and precise process formulation, the filaments are arranged in a three-dimensional, uniform radial pattern, forming suspended three-dimensional elastic filler units. The filler expands fully in all directions within the effective area, allowing thorough mixing and exchange of air, water, and biofilm. Biofilm not only attaches evenly to each filament, maintaining good activity and variable porosity, but also achieves increasingly larger specific surface area during operation, facilitating effective metabolism. This characteristic is unmatched by other fillers currently available domestically.
Compared to rigid honeycomb fillers, this filler offers greater porosity variability and no clogging; compared to soft fillers, it has a longer material lifespan and does not stick or clump; compared to semi-soft fillers, it provides a larger surface area, faster biofilm formation, and lower cost. Therefore, this filler is recognized as the fourth-generation high-efficiency, energy-saving novel filler, following various rigid, soft, and semi-soft fillers.
